At first it was amusing. But when unchecked, the amusing has a tendency to get away from itself.
And so the dominoes of unhinged rhetoric began to fall. Amusement begat interest. Interest begat concern. Concern begat worry. Worry begat legitimized fear, which turned to pure, vitriolic, anger.
And now, as thought and reason wades through this awful Kübler-Ross political model, every approach from every angle has been used in an attempt to disparage, discredit, and dissuade those enamored with such sad, pathetic, simple-mindedness. But deflection still prevails. No matter how artless, or hollow, or myopic, or intolerant, or jaundiced the comments are, indifference wins out. The worst is bluntly mined from the hardened surfaces of the most fearful and then, cunningly exploited for every ounce of political gain, leaving nothing but the most poisonous refuse to fester on the facade.
Over the course of the past few months, it has been evidenced that no amount of fact or persuasion will affect the tone or the tactics. Journalistic fact. Historical fact. Academic fact—none of it matters. The message will remain the same and the base will adhere to it. That being said, let all of this serve as an introduction to the following statement:
If you plan on voting for Donald Trump this November, you are a disgusting piece of shit and should be ashamed of yourself. You’re an embarrassment to yourself and those around you.
Over the last year or so, it’s been proven with pitch-perfect clarity that no matter what Donald Trump says or does in his vacuous bid for president, he will never apologize or express regret for any of the hateful, racist, misogynistic, antisemitic, disrespectful, unintelligent, paranoid, xenophobic, or any of the other litany of dumbshit things that have come out of his dumbshit mouth or been association with his dumbshit campaign. His ego is so large and arrogance so profound, it doesn’t matter what anyone says about him, he will never change. His hour-long, inarticulate soliloquy in praise of himself at the RNC etched that notion in stone for centuries to come. Any hope one may have had at seeing a more human, self-critical form of Donald Trump is dashed. The man is shameless in the most obscene sense of the word.
But all is not lost. While our hopeful “dear leader” is physically incapable of understanding humiliation, a vast number of those who support him are—and that is where this campaign starts. Instead of attempting to humiliate the man who spreads the verbal trash that inundates our news cycle, it’s time to humiliate those that promote him. It’s time to humiliate his cheerleaders and apologists that have shored up the underpinning of what is quickly proving to be one the largest blights on our country’s history since the Civil War. It’s time to approach everyone we know with the slightest of sympathy for this foolish shit crust, and let them know if you support what he stands for, you are Donald Trump yourself—shit crust and all.
Let’s start with the picture at the top of this piece. This is a screen shot of Donald Trump during a campaign speech, physically mocking a journalist with a muscular disability, that happened to be critical of his campaign. Think about that for a second. If you think a grown man engaging in this type of childish, bullying is acceptable behavior in the leader of the United States, then you can promptly go fuck yourself. You’re a disgusting piece of shit that doesn’t deserve the friendship and love of those around you. What you do deserve, however, is to be the parent of someone born with such an impairment. You deserve to have to explain to them one night as they come to you with tears in their eyes asking why someone would cruelly make fun of their condition when they have no control over it. You deserve to be the one to say, “Well sometimes, people are so simple, and so stupid, and so profoundly self-conscious, that they use this behavior as a defense mechanism to make them feel somewhat better about themselves and their inadequacies. It’s a display of selfish dominance, and in fact, is a trait I look for in a leader.” You deserve that, you fucking bedpan of a human.
How about our boy DT’s views on females. You know, that rare subset of the demographic that makes up over half of the fucking population? In essence, the man judges a woman’s ability to do a job almost entirely on her looks. If she’s attractive, she’s A-1; if she’s unattractive, she’s worthless. Nothing else matters. On this alone, if you agree with him, you can go choke, because you don’t deserve air. But let’s find some examples. There’s the time he told a reporter Carly Fiorino wasn’t electable because of her face. There’s the time he sent a NY Times columnist a copy of a piece she wrote with “The face of a dog” circled around her headshot. There’s his defense of many, many men (most recently, Roger Ailes) who have engaged in sexual misconduct. And here’s my favorite: the disgusting fucking hypotheticals he makes about dating his daughter. If you’re okay with his incestuous dialogues and every other nauseating opinion he has on women, you’re a trashbag of a person and deserve every scrap of waste life throws inside of you. If you’re a woman and are okay with this shit, then pack in your uterus and ship it from whence it came, cause you’re a disheartening piece of shit and shouldn’t be having children.
Race. Why even bother? Mexicans or Americans of Mexican heritage. Muslims or people from Muslim countries. Or basically, anyone of color as he blurs one’s race as a single, reinforced character trait that they all share. If you are in fact an overt racist, then there’s no point in shaming you. You don’t care and you appreciate his viewpoints. However, if you’re NOT openly racist, claim to have some basic respect for the constitution, and are STILL voting for Trump, you’re a piece of shit and should be ashamed of yourself. You’re a fucking hypocrite and deserve nothing less than to be waterboarded with the liquid excrement byproduct from one of his world famous Trump Tower Taco Bowls™ while Emma Lazarus is read to you 23 hours a day.
Speaking of torture, if you think a president should be saying of someone who was a prisoner of war:
“He’s not a war hero,” … “He was a war hero because he was captured.
I like people who weren’t captured.”
You’re an undisputed disloyal prick. If you’re willing give him a free pass on such an unpatriotic comment, you shouldn’t be allowed to vote. Unfortunately, the constitution protects your bullshit insincerity.
And as far as insincere assholes are concerned, the group with the most of them has to be the people of faith who support Trump. If you’re a person of faith (and let’s make it real simple and narrow it down to the Christian faith), and you claim to care deeply about said faith, and also care to vote for Trump—just go ahead and hang yourself (in a church if it’ll make you feel better). You’re the worst kind of Trump supporter. I take that back, you’re the worst kind of person. You’re a hypocrite on an ecclesiastical level because you’re either A) claiming to be a person of faith, but completely unaware of the teachings of the New Testament and antithetically endorsing Trump, which would make you a fucking fraud, or B) fully aware that Trump challenges almost every ideal of the Christian faith, but still endorse him anyway because you’re an opportunistic scumbag. Matthew 16:26.
I could go on and on and on and on and fucking on. The list is enormous and would monotonously persevere like this book about teaching a child to shit. Similarly, you would just end up with the same outcome: lost patience and a disgusting mess. The point is it’s not about shaming Donald Trump anymore. Nor is it about finding something else that makes him completely unqualified for the presidency. It’s been tried, and accomplished so many times, and still proved unsuccessful.
Now it’s time to confront the real power: the votes. One by one, it’s about confronting the people who still vehemently support him, exposing them for their hypocrisy, and shaming them to the point where they realize their continued open support would lose them significant social standing among their family and peers. It can be ugly, and cruel, and mean, but those are the exact same qualities that they endorsed in the first place.
